Potpourri of late autumn pictures and heading into winter & Christmas...............

I've had a lapse in updating my blog but now I'm back on track......better late than never as they say....... :)

Seriously.........what a dog has to do for a treat!!!!
But as always I do my best to  "please" Mummy and give her one of my cute poses :)

OK.....I'm going ALL IN!!! The last pose wasn't up to standard but this one proved to be a winner :)
I got my favourite treat x 2!

Shakespeare once proclaimed that "clothes maketh the man"
.....well here I am the living proof of that statement!

With autumn and winter upon us darkness comes early so safety is of the utmost importance!
I am trying my new safety outfit.  What ya think?

Us whippets have many good traits. One of them being we have an "on and off" mode. The "off" mode is one of my favourite.....I never tire of taking back position and airing my tummy :)

Zzzzzz.............I am  all wrapped up in my new wonderful and snuggly blankie.
The blankie is so soft and lovely that Mummy and I "fight" over who gets to have it at night!

As you can see I've claimed it!
Blankie is mine and ONLY mine!

I'm in the arms of Mummy's friend Eva. Ever since I first met Eva, I've had a "thing" about her, well....like a crush.
I think I might be a bit in love.......but don't tell Mummy because she'll get jealous BIG time!

These shiny floors are Mummy's pride & joy but I think they are useless since I slide all over the place when I try and do a nice "sit"!

At last!!!! Finally the baking bowl is in use and cookies are being baked :)
I LOVE baking and I always get to do the important quality check of the dough!

Waiting for the train....on our way home. This is where I stand every day in the evening, impatiently waiting for the train. My tummy is rumbling since I've had nothing to eat since breakfast and want to get home quickly for dinner!

Miloupard is my name when I wear this coat!
This day we made a statement as Mummy was wearing her leopard jeans :)

On my way to daycare. Gosh.......these floors are almost as shiny as ours at home!!!

Autumn is nothing less than spectacular. Walking, sitting or rolling on a bed of rustic leaves is heavenly :)
I'm on a dogwalk date with my friend Douglas.

Me on a bed of autumn leaves...... like a magical oil painting.

Friendship is letting a smaller friend lean on you in comfort.......

Douglas.........my sweet wee friend :)

May this kiss last forever!!!
Douglas Mummy..........accepting my very wet and loving kiss :)

Date with my tiny wee friend Pixi.
We met a new friend.....and admired his nice Christmas scarf.

Mummy has a "sausage shop" in her pocket and I think it just opened!
Waiting for a piece to land in my mouth :)

Have now made our way to our favourite café.

Pixi´s Mummy loves her to the moon and back.

No.....we're not arrested on our way to the dog pound!
We are in the car in Pixi's new safety crate. Felt pretty weird in there but quite comfy with a sheep skin rug to lie on.

Sorry Mummy.......I know I'm not a beaver but couldn't resist having a go at this tree!

Posing on the jetty.......

I'm using really fowl language! Telling the squirrel to dare challenge me down here as opposed to high up in that tree!

Dog parkour level 1.
I'm soon ready for level 2 and 3 :)

Nature never ceases to take our breath away.........Mummy and I sat by the water watching the sunset.

The following evening.........another exquisite sunset, the sky ablaze in golden pink.

A black & white image can be quite stunning.
Mummy loves this picture of me. I'm inclined to agree....there's a special depth in my expression which I don't think would come through as strongly in a coloured picture.

It's pitch black and I'm on FULL alert as I hear something over there in the bushes!
Could it be a BEAR??!!!
I'm a sprinter so I can run away.........and also I'll let Mummy handle the BEAR.
That sounds like a good plan!

Wintry grey day brightened up by me in my bright red coat :)

Showing off my super warm coat. Leopard print is something Mummy has difficulty in resisting.......but it must never get "tacky" she says. Just the right amount here and there makes it rather chic she claims. I have no idea what all this means.......all I care about is keeping warm :)

This is my latest fleece polo sweater and of course Mummy had to order a matching collar.
I have to say that this colour - turquoise - is rather becoming on me!

A normal outing with my daycare friends.

Here I am together will all the "small" dogs at my daycare. There is actually a separate daycare for the small ones called "Mini Dog Planet" :)
I'm up front showing the wee ones that they are safe.....they can rely on me if something scary comes along!

Posing in our matching black coats....well, except for Mr Brown to the left ;)

When a tiny whippet boy is "abandoned" by his Mummy who yet again is in Spain having massive cuddles and snuggles with OTHER dogs.....then this wee boy can seek comfort from a daycare friend.
A labrador botty is the perfect pillow :)

Ho Ho Ho.....Merry Christmas to one & all from me & my beloved Lamb Chop family!

Christmas picture with some of my daycare friends.
Snow didn't come until after Christmas.......

This was a very strange encounter I had!
Is it really a Christmas bear riding a pine tree ram?

I was very brave as I wanted to give the Christmas bear a Christmas kiss :)

Christmas Eve and me & Mummy are at Grandpa's. We went for an early evening walk which was quite magic.
We passed many beautiful things..........here two swans that were beautifully lit up.

Wow........Mummy was ecstatic, there was a full moon, hardly a breath of wind and not a soul except for us.
It was one of those special moments when you feel humbled by the beauty of our world and being part of it.........

Oh dear.........Christmas ALWAYS means a Spa day for me & my brother Lucky.
Mummy usually announces this with a VERY cheerful voice in the morning......saying:
boys.....today you are going to be pampered and get squeaky clean!
Lucky is NOT impressed.........

........and neither am I...... even though Mummy lights the scented Christmas candle and has warm towels ready for us after the bath, I would still prefer Christmas without this ordeal!

The "ordeal" is over - THANK GOODNESS!!!
I'm exhausted...... this spa day thing is really grossly overrated!

Lucky is so traumatized after the "ordeal" that he doesn't even have the energy to find a
comfortable place to lie!

Art in a different form. Pixi's Mummy made these and we think they are super cool!

Wee Pixi and me on the jetty.

Summer, a few years ago at Börsgården.
Poppy (left), Truman and me......relaxing together, soaking up the sun.

Me & darling Poppy.
Poppy crossed the rainbow bridge a while back.....so very sad to lose her, she was the closest I've been to having a girlfriend
.

Me & Poppy on a bed of autumn leaves.
This picture was published in the morning paper.
So precious........Poppy in my heart forever.

Another year gone by.....
Me & Mummy wishing everyone happiness, harmony and good health in 2016!

As always, until next time..... keep calm and hug your four legged loved one(s).
